Transcript

00:00:29.580 --> 00:00:32.930 JACK THOMAS: Good evening, everyone, Jack Thomas, at the happy spot.

00:00:33.210 --> 00:00:36.160 JACK THOMAS: I wanna welcome our lovely ladies

00:00:36.520 --> 00:00:39.610 JACK THOMAS: today. What we're going to talk about is taste.

00:00:41.003 --> 00:00:41.890 JACK THOMAS: Just taste!

00:00:42.560 --> 00:00:45.610 JACK THOMAS: It's the delivery of how we

00:00:45.790 --> 00:00:47.229 JACK THOMAS: teach our children

00:00:47.430 --> 00:00:49.409 JACK THOMAS: the goodness in society.

00:00:49.590 --> 00:01:03.120 JACK THOMAS: I was at an event. I was visiting Dr. Donna and Scotland, Dona and these 2 young ladies come up to me cause it was a kid premier event. A kid. Now, ladies, I will let you know you are now officially

00:01:03.130 --> 00:01:06.789 JACK THOMAS: entrepreneurs. You could be the 1st junior entrepreneurs

00:01:06.870 --> 00:01:16.630 JACK THOMAS: we at the Happy Spot work with Yvonne Dom. She's overseas. He'll be coming to the United States, and we talk about wellness in corporate America.

00:01:17.880 --> 00:01:26.489 JACK THOMAS: As you know, you ladies were sharing. You went to go see a movie today about emotions, and that's part of what we do, but we do it with grownups in business and in work

00:01:26.640 --> 00:01:33.069 JACK THOMAS: and the emotions. There are 5 places, and so if you ladies want to kind of jump in.

00:01:33.520 --> 00:01:38.669 JACK THOMAS: what are our 5 emotions, you may be on mute, so you may have to unmute yourself

00:01:38.700 --> 00:01:40.079 JACK THOMAS: if you see that button.

00:01:43.400 --> 00:01:48.179 JACK THOMAS: So what are the 5 senses? And I'm going to have you 2 sisters alternate back and forth.

00:01:48.210 --> 00:01:51.389 JACK THOMAS: What are the 5 senses we know as human beings.

00:01:51.410 --> 00:01:53.330 JACK THOMAS: I I can see you.

00:01:54.713 --> 00:01:55.306 The Crunchy Sisters: Hearing.

00:01:55.900 --> 00:01:56.640 JACK THOMAS: Hear you

00:01:56.790 --> 00:01:57.780 JACK THOMAS: paste it.

00:01:58.860 --> 00:02:00.680 The Crunchy Sisters: They smell, smell.

00:02:00.850 --> 00:02:01.460 The Crunchy Sisters: and.

00:02:01.850 --> 00:02:02.240 JACK THOMAS: And.

00:02:02.240 --> 00:02:03.040 The Crunchy Sisters: Touch.

00:02:03.410 --> 00:02:07.110 JACK THOMAS: Touch. That's great. So those are the 5 senses.

00:02:07.940 --> 00:02:17.559 JACK THOMAS: When people get into the business world today, they have to use computers sit in front of computers. Sometimes they're really happy and just ecstatic, and sometimes they're really sad.

00:02:17.710 --> 00:02:21.959 JACK THOMAS: And so at the happy spot, we look for alternative ways.

00:02:22.330 --> 00:02:32.030 JACK THOMAS: We call it biohacking, looking at the biology of the body, and how we can hack into their mind or their body to bring wellness and happiness.

00:02:33.150 --> 00:02:52.400 JACK THOMAS: You ladies brought that flavor to my tongue. So today is really about you 2 ladies, and I'd love we're gonna do it in minute increments, right? So 1 min each sister gets to tell something about themselves. And what's going on in your business, Alya, if you can go first, st please.

00:02:53.140 --> 00:02:54.990 The Crunchy Sisters: Thalia, the little one. Okay.

00:02:54.990 --> 00:02:55.650 JACK THOMAS: Yeah.

00:02:57.840 --> 00:03:06.339 The Crunchy Sisters: So a fun fact about myself is that I share a birthday with Albert Einstein.

00:03:06.340 --> 00:03:08.889 JACK THOMAS: So great that is great.

00:03:08.960 --> 00:03:16.430 JACK THOMAS: And what are some of the what is your favorite product, or some of the products that the Crunch sisters sell.

00:03:16.810 --> 00:03:20.279 The Crunchy Sisters: But my favorite product is the

00:03:20.520 --> 00:03:32.620 The Crunchy Sisters: mango pinnacemos, because it is delicious, and it's like dam. And this in one teaspoon you get more than 92 Minneapolis.

00:03:34.300 --> 00:03:45.039 JACK THOMAS: So I just I just love your delivery. I I've been in sales most of my life. And so when I was walking across, and there were literally hundreds of tables.

00:03:45.090 --> 00:04:04.350 JACK THOMAS: And you came up to me. You, you convinced me to buy the Cmos, and you are 100% correct, because it made me feel so well. And I'm glad that you're local in Hawthorne, New Jersey, and that I know that you could ship anywhere you want, but I look forward to coming by and getting a replacement of my Cmos.

00:04:04.690 --> 00:04:05.460 JACK THOMAS: And

00:04:05.750 --> 00:04:07.539 JACK THOMAS: now your older sister.

00:04:09.660 --> 00:04:15.020 The Crunchy Sisters: Okay. So mine is Samantha. I'm 12 years old. And my favorite product, which we make.

00:04:15.830 --> 00:04:19.089 The Crunchy Sisters: Okay. There's a lot of products which I like that we make.

00:04:19.100 --> 00:04:22.610 The Crunchy Sisters: but on the top is probably going to be our elaborate elixir.

00:04:23.330 --> 00:04:30.060 The Crunchy Sisters: I take it every morning just like one tablespoon, and I look forward to it every day, because it's tasty

00:04:30.070 --> 00:04:35.060 The Crunchy Sisters: and also keeps my immune system really strong, so I can fight any bad bugs that might come around.

00:04:36.080 --> 00:04:48.429 JACK THOMAS: That that is great. So please go a little more, because I know nothing about elderberry. I looked at all of the other programs you have. And now, like, when I go in the supermarket, I'm looking at some of these things going. Oh, what is that?

00:04:48.650 --> 00:04:59.630 JACK THOMAS: So, please for our and and we and the people we work with are everyday people living extraordinary lives. So they're like me. They see elderberry, but it sounds very fancy.

00:05:00.171 --> 00:05:02.530 JACK THOMAS: So what is it, please?

00:05:03.840 --> 00:05:10.180 The Crunchy Sisters: So Alderberys are a plant, and there's different kinds of alter berries. We use medicinal altaries

00:05:10.210 --> 00:05:14.240 The Crunchy Sisters: which contain more vitamin c than other kinds of elderberries

00:05:14.450 --> 00:05:23.049 The Crunchy Sisters: also contains lots of antioxidants, and in our elderberry Alex. Here we also make it with raw honey and ginger, so that isn't

00:05:23.070 --> 00:05:25.369 The Crunchy Sisters: even more of an immune system.

00:05:26.370 --> 00:05:31.349 JACK THOMAS: And so your ingredients. Where do where do you find them? And are they organic?

00:05:32.350 --> 00:05:34.640 The Crunchy Sisters: Yes, all of them are organic.

00:05:36.520 --> 00:05:38.120 The Crunchy Sisters: That's great.

00:05:38.250 --> 00:05:38.870 The Crunchy Sisters: We.

00:05:38.870 --> 00:05:39.739 JACK THOMAS: Right that we didn't.

00:05:40.430 --> 00:05:45.209 The Crunchy Sisters: So we get some, I believe, from we get from whole foods by at a cost.

00:05:45.550 --> 00:05:51.070 The Crunchy Sisters: and everything in our algebra elixirs is U.S.A. Certified organic.

00:05:52.170 --> 00:05:53.420 JACK THOMAS: That is awesome.

00:05:54.170 --> 00:05:55.163 JACK THOMAS: And so

00:05:56.030 --> 00:05:58.616 JACK THOMAS: Couple of years ago, in Newark, New Jersey,

00:05:58.970 --> 00:06:02.940 JACK THOMAS: a group of business owners I work with. We were working with B

00:06:03.700 --> 00:06:05.469 JACK THOMAS: people setting up beef farms.

00:06:05.570 --> 00:06:11.960 JACK THOMAS: beehives, bee farms. Apparently we have a real problem in the United States of not enough bees

00:06:11.990 --> 00:06:15.649 JACK THOMAS: and not having enough good food for them to pass on the pollen.

00:06:16.072 --> 00:06:22.350 JACK THOMAS: So do you have. Do you have a special place where you get your honey from, or your beehives from in New Jersey.

00:06:23.260 --> 00:06:28.819 The Crunchy Sisters: So can I add to this one just a little tidbit of contact about honey in New Jersey. So

00:06:29.420 --> 00:06:43.269 The Crunchy Sisters: I'm a health coach, and I'm the crunchy sisters, mama, wondering, who is this lady and Pink in the back? So my name is Anna Trefo, and I'm the mama of these 2 little entrepreneurs juniors.

00:06:43.320 --> 00:07:05.380 The Crunchy Sisters: So fun. Fact about honey in New Jersey. A a lot of New Jersey is so populated we're here in the North, right? So it's densely populated. And bees most people don't know, but if you place a beehive they can travel 3 miles out away from the Beehive, and they can. You can't really control where they collect in their pollen.

00:07:05.450 --> 00:07:28.170 The Crunchy Sisters: So to get a local honey a lot of times, people say, I really want local honey. I want something that's like really local to to me. And there's different reasons why people might want to source local honey. But here in New Jersey so many people unfortunately treat their loans with chemicals. There's so many sprays against mosquitoes, weeds, pesticides

00:07:28.320 --> 00:07:38.229 The Crunchy Sisters: every your everyday resident, right like we live on the block. We're probably the only yard that doesn't treat with pesticides and spray so.

00:07:38.600 --> 00:07:46.969 The Crunchy Sisters: and a lot of honey in New Jersey, unfortunately, is very high in glyphosate and glyphosate is a really bad chemical. It's very toxic.

00:07:47.050 --> 00:08:06.560 The Crunchy Sisters: So we actually have to source our honey up in Bingington, which is 4 h away driving distance. And it's brought to us by a beekeeper that literally places the beehives in the valley and the the forest where the bees can roam, and really

00:08:07.031 --> 00:08:18.818 The Crunchy Sisters: collect all the pollen from wild flowers without being affected by the urban pesticide use. So that's a fun fact. Not so fun fact.

00:08:19.906 --> 00:08:22.840 The Crunchy Sisters: but of fact. The bad sunny. So yeah.

00:08:23.860 --> 00:08:38.709 JACK THOMAS: So thank you for that. Very interesting cause. During when allergy seasons k kick up, people say, Oh, go take honey and go get local honey, so I will pay attention and looking at my honey cause usually I'm like, Oh, we'll just get some Jersey honey.

00:08:39.400 --> 00:08:41.810 JACK THOMAS: you know we're right on the border of New York. So.

00:08:42.380 --> 00:08:45.999 The Crunchy Sisters: Yeah, go to farmland. Go far like more out.

00:08:47.340 --> 00:08:48.199 JACK THOMAS: That's that's good.

00:08:48.200 --> 00:08:50.080 The Crunchy Sisters: Local enough for allergies.

00:08:50.990 --> 00:08:51.669 JACK THOMAS: Got it.

00:08:51.670 --> 00:08:54.680 The Crunchy Sisters: Same plans around there, same things of looming.

00:08:56.030 --> 00:09:00.090 JACK THOMAS: And and so from a business perspective. Share with me.

00:09:00.840 --> 00:09:04.410 JACK THOMAS: people want your product. What do they do? How do they go about reaching out to you.

00:09:04.920 --> 00:09:12.599 JACK THOMAS: and I throw that to you 2 sisters. So you ladies can alternate who's going to share the information because it's the crunchy sisters business.

00:09:13.910 --> 00:09:19.379 The Crunchy Sisters: Okay, so we do have social media on Facebook and Instagram, the Crunch sisters.

00:09:19.740 --> 00:09:31.940 The Crunchy Sisters: Sometimes we have our customers reach out through there, or they'll stumble upon us and find our website, or we'll meet them as one of our affairs. And our website is crunchys.com.

00:09:32.930 --> 00:09:34.530 JACK THOMAS: That is, that is awesome.

00:09:34.540 --> 00:09:36.829 JACK THOMAS: And so how long have you been in business?

00:09:37.972 --> 00:09:42.900 The Crunchy Sisters: We started about last year. So almost a year.

00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:54.956 JACK THOMAS: That's great. And we were talking earlier and you were mentioning, you know why it asked what would be something you'd be happy about. So being on the show today, you want to elaborate

00:09:55.560 --> 00:09:57.259 JACK THOMAS: what you're hoping to get out of today.

00:09:57.880 --> 00:09:58.650 JACK THOMAS: Good.

00:09:58.911 --> 00:10:07.529 The Crunchy Sisters: So I'm hoping that this is going to be the 1st of many podcasts which we hope to do in the future. So I think this is going to be a very good

00:10:07.590 --> 00:10:10.690 The Crunchy Sisters: practice for us, and a good experience.

00:10:11.850 --> 00:10:14.658 JACK THOMAS: Great and and and I'll let you know that

00:10:15.730 --> 00:10:26.550 JACK THOMAS: Logan and Emily are behind the scenes working, and Sam Leibowitz is the executive producer listens to the show. They're gonna say, Sam, they're they're looking for a kids division.

00:10:27.200 --> 00:10:30.790 JACK THOMAS: But these kids have some real sophisticate. These are are

00:10:30.970 --> 00:10:39.150 JACK THOMAS: entrepreneurs coming from around the world. So, Sam, I don't know. We'll see what we could do here, maybe helping them live up to their dream.

00:10:40.670 --> 00:10:44.780 JACK THOMAS: So from a business perspective. What is one of your struggles

00:10:44.840 --> 00:10:50.680 JACK THOMAS: that you as sisters, as partners? Because I work in business, and I watch sisters and brothers, and

00:10:51.010 --> 00:10:55.439 JACK THOMAS: you know, let's say they argue they don't agree on things so.

00:10:55.590 --> 00:10:56.519 The Crunchy Sisters: Yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:10:56.520 --> 00:11:01.680 JACK THOMAS: Had it had it had it head of the 2 of you, and each one gets to go on.

00:11:01.930 --> 00:11:10.280 JACK THOMAS: What is one thing you really don't like that you do at work. And what is one thing that you've learned to accept.

00:11:11.640 --> 00:11:14.099 The Crunchy Sisters: Hmm! That's really gonna take a second to think about.

00:11:14.660 --> 00:11:16.180 The Crunchy Sisters: What were we talking?

00:11:20.090 --> 00:11:21.780 The Crunchy Sisters: The there you go.

00:11:23.280 --> 00:11:33.229 JACK THOMAS: So sure. Talia. Yeah. Yeah. So, Talia, what is one thing that you've learned in working with your sister that if you didn't agree on, but you accept what would be something that you would accept, that.

00:11:37.000 --> 00:11:38.520 The Crunchy Sisters: taking times

00:11:40.210 --> 00:11:44.910 The Crunchy Sisters: the easiest would be for me to answer this as an observer. But I'll I'll just sit it out.

00:11:44.910 --> 00:11:46.790 JACK THOMAS: No no no mom.

00:11:48.430 --> 00:11:49.220 The Crunchy Sisters: Me.

00:11:49.360 --> 00:11:56.130 The Crunchy Sisters: I'm like, Okay, I'm at the top. We need to do this, this, this. So for me, I feel like it would be

00:11:56.160 --> 00:11:59.069 The Crunchy Sisters: knowing what to take a break for a minute and be like. You know what

00:11:59.770 --> 00:12:02.470 The Crunchy Sisters: you can have a turn. I'm going to sub down for a minute.

00:12:02.710 --> 00:12:05.279 The Crunchy Sisters: Let's hear your idea. How would you be the leader for a minute.

00:12:05.700 --> 00:12:06.390 The Crunchy Sisters: starting to.

00:12:06.390 --> 00:12:07.350 JACK THOMAS: Have.

00:12:08.860 --> 00:12:12.390 JACK THOMAS: and and and and that is beautiful. Like to

00:12:13.370 --> 00:12:16.720 JACK THOMAS: take time and let the other one be the leader.

00:12:18.080 --> 00:12:21.999 JACK THOMAS: That's really really good business poaching by the way.

00:12:22.940 --> 00:12:23.570 JACK THOMAS: Today.

00:12:23.690 --> 00:12:26.530 JACK THOMAS: I rushed down into Newark.

00:12:27.870 --> 00:12:31.769 JACK THOMAS: I rushed down to Newark to go deal with something. I had a lot of tickets

00:12:31.780 --> 00:12:33.550 JACK THOMAS: from Easy pass, because

00:12:33.620 --> 00:12:39.480 JACK THOMAS: my, the it was horrible. And so I went down there and they told me like really bad news.

00:12:39.560 --> 00:12:47.859 JACK THOMAS: So I said, Okay, and I put all my papers back in my bag, and I left because it was just so upsetting. I just had to leave and reset.

00:12:48.700 --> 00:12:54.429 JACK THOMAS: So it took me a long time to learn, and I'm so impressed that you ladies know that we're about to move into a break.

00:12:54.785 --> 00:13:01.420 JACK THOMAS: And we'll be right back with the Crunch sisters coming you with a healthy food in the organic way. Thank you.

00:15:12.090 --> 00:15:17.410 JACK THOMAS: Welcome back everybody. This is Jack Thomas at the happy spot.

00:15:17.480 --> 00:15:21.760 JACK THOMAS: and we're with the Crunch sisters, and I have asked Gunner Hopson

00:15:22.730 --> 00:15:24.220 JACK THOMAS: to join us. Now, Gunner.

00:15:24.540 --> 00:15:24.859 Gunnar Hopson: Doing.

00:15:24.860 --> 00:15:25.550 JACK THOMAS: Opposite.

00:15:26.250 --> 00:15:39.149 JACK THOMAS: He is the son of a old friend of mine for many years, and I've spent time with him down the Jersey shore, and he works in the food business and health food business in in the food area. But he's healthy.

00:15:40.080 --> 00:15:52.850 JACK THOMAS: But he's gonna play some music. I'm gonna have him. I'm gonna have him play some music in a little bit. But I just wanted to introduce Gutter Hopson and he's gonna play some music. I asked him to do something from the seventies and something from current.

00:15:53.560 --> 00:15:57.359 JACK THOMAS: And the reason is because my generation I come from the 70 s.

00:15:57.380 --> 00:16:05.100 JACK THOMAS: The the goal of the happy spot is to have the oral conversations that when you look at yourself in 50 years

00:16:05.530 --> 00:16:20.818 JACK THOMAS: you go. Oh, my God, how much fun it is! That's what we're doing. We're putting ourselves into the future. But we hear present minded. Gunner will come back in a moment. We're continuing with these ladies unbelievable food. I went. I went to an event. It was

00:16:21.890 --> 00:16:29.960 JACK THOMAS: a school event. There were a hundred children, and all of them were kid printers out there selling food cake

00:16:30.100 --> 00:16:31.480 JACK THOMAS: ingredients.

00:16:31.891 --> 00:16:36.469 JACK THOMAS: So, ladies, we talked about your Edelberry. We talked about the Cmos

00:16:37.880 --> 00:16:56.989 JACK THOMAS: elaborate on some other products, and and maybe hey, listen, gunner is is involved in the supermarket business. Maybe he could be a good introduction. I'm not saying that he came here for the music, but in the happy spot we like to make. We like to. We like to get people with good connections. So, ladies, what are some other products you have.

00:16:57.990 --> 00:17:02.680 The Crunchy Sisters: So, besides our seamos and elderberry elixirs, we also have our Kombucha.

00:17:03.990 --> 00:17:07.980 The Crunchy Sisters: So when you go to the supermarket, you might actually see Kamlooch and be like.

00:17:08.450 --> 00:17:15.020 The Crunchy Sisters: well, why is their Kombucha different? What makes the crunchy sisters Kombucha different from all the ones on the storehouse?

00:17:15.310 --> 00:17:18.099 The Crunchy Sisters: We actually have a couple reasons why ours is different.

00:17:18.329 --> 00:17:24.459 The Crunchy Sisters: Number one, we don't pasteurize it, so it still has all the good pre and probiotics for you

00:17:24.569 --> 00:17:28.820 The Crunchy Sisters: number 2. There's no artificial carbonators or sweeteners.

00:17:28.970 --> 00:17:31.430 The Crunchy Sisters: So it's just real raw. Goodness

00:17:31.840 --> 00:17:39.319 The Crunchy Sisters: number 3, we don't dilute it for the juices, but instead infuse it with real fruits and berries to give it its flavor

00:17:39.760 --> 00:17:51.149 The Crunchy Sisters: and a fun fact about our Scoby mother is that he is older than us? Yeah, you want to tell people what a Scoby is just in case they don't know

00:17:51.190 --> 00:18:12.386 The Crunchy Sisters: what's this Kobe Scoby is what makes the Kombucha. It's like they're rid of it. It's like this live thing that you have to keep alive and ours, Kobe, the one that actually ferments that T and makes the actual Kombucha brew right? So this Kobe, what Thalia was saying that the girls are using is older than them.

00:18:13.010 --> 00:18:14.709 The Crunchy Sisters: Yeah, for a while.

00:18:15.020 --> 00:18:17.759 The Crunchy Sisters: Yeah. So it's really high for this stuff.

00:18:18.880 --> 00:18:28.510 JACK THOMAS: So that's great. So I I used to drink a lot of kambucha, and then I stopped, cause when I started looking. Ha! How much sugar was in there. I felt as though.

00:18:28.760 --> 00:18:32.410 JACK THOMAS: oh, the trigger was offsetting the goodness of what I was trying to get accomplished.

00:18:33.030 --> 00:18:33.610 The Crunchy Sisters: Slot.

00:18:33.916 --> 00:18:44.629 JACK THOMAS: And what is the number? I I always know there's supposed to be a number to measure of the Cambuchia of the freebiotic is is that something that is important that people should know about.

00:18:46.140 --> 00:18:46.760 The Crunchy Sisters: Hmm.

00:18:46.760 --> 00:18:47.802 JACK THOMAS: The number of

00:18:48.820 --> 00:19:04.490 The Crunchy Sisters: So it's really how many days it ferments, and how how the length, the fermentation. So there are different formulas that different companies use in crunchy sisters. You guys use very little sugar, so when you are drinking it.

00:19:04.883 --> 00:19:20.179 The Crunchy Sisters: It's not sweet, so people love it for that. That has a very particular taste. And you can really taste the tell about the double fermentation that you guys do, which is very unique. Yeah. So our Kombucha ferments for

00:19:20.220 --> 00:19:25.470 The Crunchy Sisters: 12 days in total, we do 10 days for just the kombucha to ferment by itself.

00:19:25.560 --> 00:19:32.409 The Crunchy Sisters: and then we do a second 2 day fermentation, where we infuse the fruits to give it its flavor, so that can ferment him.

00:19:33.270 --> 00:19:34.420 JACK THOMAS: That's awesome.

00:19:34.520 --> 00:19:41.189 JACK THOMAS: Well, but but we're gonna do is we're gonna pause with you ladies for a little bit, and I'd ask Gunner to play 2 songs. So

00:19:41.554 --> 00:19:45.009 JACK THOMAS: gunner, which which of the songs are you gonna start with?

00:19:46.491 --> 00:19:51.560 Gunnar Hopson: I think I'll start with the one from the seventies, since that's the 1st one that we discussed.

00:19:53.130 --> 00:20:02.899 Gunnar Hopson: when you approached me about this. You mentioned that it was going to be like a wellness themed kind of episode. So I figured I would play some songs that kind of have like that kind of vibe to them.

00:20:02.940 --> 00:20:08.489 Gunnar Hopson: So I was going to the one from the seventies that I picked was the song Breathe by Pink Floyd.

00:20:08.620 --> 00:20:09.910 Gunnar Hopson: because, you know.

00:20:10.940 --> 00:20:15.250 Gunnar Hopson: especially like with wellness and like when it comes to eating healthy. And

00:20:15.550 --> 00:20:20.870 Gunnar Hopson: you know, people who do yoga and exercise the most important thing is always just breathe. You know, I'm just kinda

00:20:21.160 --> 00:20:25.309 Gunnar Hopson: that's like the 1st thing you gotta start with. Just let things kind of pass.

00:20:25.640 --> 00:20:29.829 Gunnar Hopson: so I'll let me just get my guitar out for that.

00:20:30.545 --> 00:20:33.560 JACK THOMAS: The song he chose is breathed by Pink Floyd.

00:20:34.370 --> 00:20:46.990 JACK THOMAS: which, when I was growing up, probably about 12 years old, that was the music that we were listening to, and when Gunner said, He's gonna play breath as a yogi. That's all we talk about is just breathe the gun or the floor is yours.

00:20:46.990 --> 00:20:47.650 Gunnar Hopson: Exactly.

00:20:47.650 --> 00:20:48.240 JACK THOMAS: Like you.

00:20:48.690 --> 00:20:50.469 Gunnar Hopson: Thank you. Alright

00:21:03.540 --> 00:21:04.320 Gunnar Hopson: to.

00:21:06.055 --> 00:21:07.190 Gunnar Hopson: hey?

00:21:14.260 --> 00:21:15.780 Gunnar Hopson: And doesn't mean

00:21:20.130 --> 00:21:20.830 Gunnar Hopson: do!

00:21:22.080 --> 00:21:23.300 Gunnar Hopson: Can you

00:21:27.680 --> 00:21:28.510 Gunnar Hopson: today

00:21:45.150 --> 00:21:49.389 Gunnar Hopson: breathe, breathe in the air

00:21:50.980 --> 00:21:52.060 Gunnar Hopson: the

00:21:53.290 --> 00:21:56.850 Gunnar Hopson: Don't be afraid to come.

00:22:00.980 --> 00:22:04.759 Gunnar Hopson: live! Don't leave me.

00:22:08.190 --> 00:22:09.860 Gunnar Hopson: Look around.

00:22:09.930 --> 00:22:13.829 Gunnar Hopson: choose your own ground

00:22:14.390 --> 00:22:15.640 Gunnar Hopson: a

00:22:16.470 --> 00:22:32.079 Gunnar Hopson: long you love, and I fly smiles you give, and tis your cry. All you touch know, you see is all your life will be

00:22:33.945 --> 00:22:35.110 Gunnar Hopson: run

00:22:35.470 --> 00:22:37.870 Gunnar Hopson: rather fun

00:22:38.920 --> 00:22:39.840 Gunnar Hopson: to

00:22:40.830 --> 00:22:43.380 Gunnar Hopson: dig that home

00:22:43.970 --> 00:22:46.760 Gunnar Hopson: depth of sun

00:22:50.520 --> 00:22:54.420 Gunnar Hopson: when my still work is done.

00:22:57.510 --> 00:23:03.250 Gunnar Hopson: Don't sit down. It's time to dig up, mother. One

00:23:05.690 --> 00:23:22.840 Gunnar Hopson: long you live night, slice you get tis your cry bound storm the biggest wave.

00:23:24.840 --> 00:23:25.850 JACK THOMAS: That's awesome.

00:23:25.890 --> 00:23:27.359 JACK THOMAS: That is awesome, gunner.

00:23:27.360 --> 00:23:28.060 Gunnar Hopson: Thank you.

00:23:28.060 --> 00:23:29.889 JACK THOMAS: Awesome. That is awesome.

00:23:30.691 --> 00:23:33.048 JACK THOMAS: So the the show started.

00:23:33.680 --> 00:23:37.390 JACK THOMAS: and Gunner. Sorry, I know. Behind the scenes we had a little technical glitch.

00:23:38.010 --> 00:23:38.170 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah.

00:23:38.170 --> 00:23:38.949 JACK THOMAS: Beginning of the show.

00:23:39.260 --> 00:23:40.809 Gunnar Hopson: My computer was being weird.

00:23:42.070 --> 00:23:45.290 JACK THOMAS: Well, that's okay, cause we're all weird welcome to life. I love

00:23:45.710 --> 00:23:46.679 JACK THOMAS: king of weird

00:23:47.345 --> 00:23:53.514 JACK THOMAS: but but in the business world in Bio hacking, we look at different senses. And so

00:23:54.050 --> 00:23:55.320 JACK THOMAS: we talked about

00:23:55.530 --> 00:23:59.510 JACK THOMAS: I what we're doing here on Zoom. This didn't exist years ago.

00:24:00.180 --> 00:24:00.580 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah.

00:24:00.580 --> 00:24:02.180 JACK THOMAS: We talk about sound

00:24:02.770 --> 00:24:05.020 JACK THOMAS: right, and the music that you brought is

00:24:05.250 --> 00:24:06.649 JACK THOMAS: tied to the words.

00:24:07.130 --> 00:24:15.950 JACK THOMAS: and the hardest part is really getting the taste right to have someone kind of taste like. It's so hard for me to describe how delicious that Cmos was.

00:24:16.030 --> 00:24:21.329 JACK THOMAS: but at the same time I know that within a day or so I could feel a difference in my body.

00:24:21.400 --> 00:24:21.930 JACK THOMAS: So

00:24:22.460 --> 00:24:22.960 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah.

00:24:22.960 --> 00:24:31.019 JACK THOMAS: I I appreciate I appreciate you joining us. And wh so what's a little bit about Gunner hops? And wh where do you? Where do you work? What do you do? You know who who are you?

00:24:32.440 --> 00:24:34.400 Gunnar Hopson: Well, my, so

00:24:34.900 --> 00:24:56.799 Gunnar Hopson: recently, I've been trying to find some more gigs musically. My, most recent like job that was kinda in the food world was. I was a supervisor, and a copywriter and a grocery store and a little silver called Sickles. They're now defunct. So right now, but it was a very help. It was a very knowledgeable

00:24:56.860 --> 00:24:57.930 Gunnar Hopson: I've already like

00:24:59.810 --> 00:25:00.520 Gunnar Hopson: which

00:25:00.680 --> 00:25:13.338 Gunnar Hopson: Job, in terms of like learning about nutrition, how foods are made, how things are grown and like learning things about that. And you know there are a lot of great specialty items. But yeah, that's pretty much me right now.

00:25:14.660 --> 00:25:27.569 JACK THOMAS: Great. So if if if the girls ever want and and I could connect you, if they ever have questions about getting into the supermarket and understand what that is. Would they have the right to reach out to you if I connect you.

00:25:28.740 --> 00:25:32.659 Gunnar Hopson: I'm not super well connected in terms of.

00:25:32.790 --> 00:25:33.380 Gunnar Hopson: you know, getting.

00:25:33.380 --> 00:25:34.630 JACK THOMAS: Not looking for your connections.

00:25:34.630 --> 00:25:35.739 Gunnar Hopson: Nicely, get.

00:25:36.010 --> 00:25:39.117 JACK THOMAS: No, but just looking for your background and experience as a as a manager.

00:25:39.340 --> 00:25:40.600 Gunnar Hopson: I got you.

00:25:41.330 --> 00:25:57.239 JACK THOMAS: So, yeah, and and then and again, no pressure. Just kind of throwing it out there. And that's what we do with the happy spot, ladies, right we go generational conversations in a in meeting and saying, Hey, how can we help one another right, and be in that like minded and doing good for others.

00:25:57.570 --> 00:26:11.590 JACK THOMAS: cause cause times are rough, and so hopefully Gunner will will get a clip out, and Emily, make sure you have a clip, and we get gunner, and we throw him out into our community into the New York City radio world of getting him some work in the music world.

00:26:12.770 --> 00:26:13.080 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah.

00:26:13.514 --> 00:26:13.949 JACK THOMAS: Eighties.

00:26:14.610 --> 00:26:20.729 JACK THOMAS: ladies. So when it comes to the manufacturing of the food, your your products.

00:26:20.780 --> 00:26:21.829 JACK THOMAS: who makes them.

00:26:23.842 --> 00:26:26.107 The Crunchy Sisters: Probably all 3 of us

00:26:26.660 --> 00:26:28.409 The Crunchy Sisters: do it as a team

00:26:29.050 --> 00:26:34.800 The Crunchy Sisters: like you supervise everything like make sure you're doing it right.

00:26:37.060 --> 00:26:44.290 The Crunchy Sisters: Then we help each other out with the C. MOS. We I would load the kombucha, would put it into the bottles.

00:26:44.600 --> 00:26:49.079 The Crunchy Sisters: Then we'd both make the elderly looks there. Yeah, so it's a bunch of teamwork.

00:26:50.270 --> 00:26:51.080 JACK THOMAS: That's really nice.

00:26:51.080 --> 00:26:53.680 The Crunchy Sisters: Vision of labor right to keep the sibling

00:26:54.210 --> 00:26:56.002 The Crunchy Sisters: friction at least.

00:26:56.790 --> 00:27:00.150 The Crunchy Sisters: we still work together on the same product. So

00:27:00.200 --> 00:27:03.870 The Crunchy Sisters: you guys are great. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding teasing you.

00:27:04.370 --> 00:27:05.906 JACK THOMAS: a a a and

00:27:06.800 --> 00:27:21.579 JACK THOMAS: and working with the teamwork with I I know your your schooling is a home schooling program. Do you work with other students, on food and wellness, and exchanging different ideas with other kids.

00:27:22.930 --> 00:27:26.159 The Crunchy Sisters: On the food and wellness we do take.

00:27:26.160 --> 00:27:26.660 JACK THOMAS: Yeah.

00:27:26.660 --> 00:27:29.500 The Crunchy Sisters: Worship class. So we sometimes do that there.

00:27:30.850 --> 00:27:33.250 JACK THOMAS: And what are some things that you've learned from other children.

00:27:34.680 --> 00:27:38.769 The Crunchy Sisters: Hmm! So we've learned a bit about like how to do sales pitch

00:27:39.100 --> 00:27:44.059 The Crunchy Sisters: like that. If you just stand and smile and hope that a customer might notice you.

00:27:44.360 --> 00:27:47.139 The Crunchy Sisters: You need to actually go out there and say, Hi! There

00:27:47.150 --> 00:27:52.950 The Crunchy Sisters: we come, check out our table like, get them in there. So just be like. I hope they visit.

00:27:54.670 --> 00:27:55.659 JACK THOMAS: So, Gunner, that's what they did.

00:27:55.660 --> 00:27:56.290 The Crunchy Sisters: Out there.

00:27:56.810 --> 00:28:01.409 JACK THOMAS: That's that's what they did to me is, I was walking through all the tables, and I was. I was visiting a friend of mine.

00:28:01.420 --> 00:28:05.539 JACK THOMAS: and they came up to me. I'm like, Oh, my God, yeah, you you're like, start.

00:28:05.540 --> 00:28:06.190 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah.

00:28:06.190 --> 00:28:11.670 JACK THOMAS: We are go, we are gonna move to break again. And when we come back we're gonna come back to the sisters

00:28:12.180 --> 00:28:15.409 JACK THOMAS: and we're gonna gunner play another song in a little bit.

00:28:15.540 --> 00:28:22.049 JACK THOMAS: We are at the Happy Spot. My name is Jack Thomas. Talk radio, NYC. And we'll be right back.

00:30:22.090 --> 00:30:27.389 JACK THOMAS: Hello, everybody! Welcome back to the happy spot, Jack Thomas. We have Gunner Hopson.

00:30:27.520 --> 00:30:30.400 JACK THOMAS: and we also have the crunchy sisters.

00:30:30.480 --> 00:30:33.789 JACK THOMAS: Talia and Samantha, with their mom mom being a coach.

00:30:33.980 --> 00:30:48.039 JACK THOMAS: The goal of today is to introduce the the the heritage of what makes New Jersey so great. When you have family businesses starting up, and other other kids exchanging the ideas and and how to come about.

00:30:49.030 --> 00:30:51.348 JACK THOMAS: And so I had asked them earlier.

00:30:51.780 --> 00:30:55.600 JACK THOMAS: you know what is one thing you're really hoping to look forward to for today.

00:30:55.610 --> 00:30:57.469 JACK THOMAS: And and we touched upon that.

00:30:58.880 --> 00:31:07.710 JACK THOMAS: But do you girls see yourself in the future? Do you see this, you know, when you get out of school, you know. Do you see this as really being a lifelong opportunity.

00:31:09.530 --> 00:31:13.360 The Crunchy Sisters: Having a business. I think we are going to do it for a very long time.

00:31:13.590 --> 00:31:21.789 The Crunchy Sisters: We might also add on more products, and branch out and expand, maybe not just doing food, but selling other items as well.

00:31:22.200 --> 00:31:25.560 The Crunchy Sisters: so we could branch out on that in the future.

00:31:25.560 --> 00:31:27.159 JACK THOMAS: And what are some of those items you look?

00:31:28.160 --> 00:31:30.310 JACK THOMAS: And what are some of those other items you're looking at?

00:31:30.830 --> 00:31:40.563 The Crunchy Sisters: So we might do organic cotton clothing, and then I also want to become an author, and I publish the book, so we might sell some of my books to our company, as well.

00:31:42.980 --> 00:31:55.470 JACK THOMAS: That that is, that is, that is, that is really great to hear. And and and we we love to hear that at the happy spot. We, we hope that we're able to support and promote you in multiple ways so that successes can continue.

00:31:58.940 --> 00:32:07.909 JACK THOMAS: what is something that you wanted to share without me asking you what is what is something that's on your mind? You think that everybody should know about that. I didn't even know to ask.

00:32:08.910 --> 00:32:10.259 The Crunchy Sisters: You want to go 1st to me.

00:32:10.280 --> 00:32:12.950 The Crunchy Sisters: you go 5. Okay? So

00:32:13.140 --> 00:32:16.459 The Crunchy Sisters: earlier, I mentioned that I want to become a published author.

00:32:17.120 --> 00:32:24.730 The Crunchy Sisters: So throughout like the past 6 months I've actually been working on a book, and I got it published and released last this May.

00:32:25.450 --> 00:32:27.529 The Crunchy Sisters: So I'm really excited about that.

00:32:28.120 --> 00:32:28.760 The Crunchy Sisters: Speaking of.

00:32:28.760 --> 00:32:30.260 JACK THOMAS: Like the Hessian side.

00:32:30.260 --> 00:32:36.810 The Crunchy Sisters: Thank you, and kind of fits with a happy spot, because it's a dad joke book, so gives a lot of laughter.

00:32:38.410 --> 00:32:42.959 JACK THOMAS: Well, that is great. If you if you could maybe put in the link here and we could share it with people

00:32:43.400 --> 00:32:44.750 JACK THOMAS: so they can reach out.

00:32:45.330 --> 00:32:46.760 JACK THOMAS: That is awesome.

00:32:47.530 --> 00:32:48.440 The Crunchy Sisters: Thank you.

00:32:51.070 --> 00:32:51.989 The Crunchy Sisters: We'll do it.

00:32:52.262 --> 00:32:53.349 JACK THOMAS: Yeah, what about yourself?

00:32:53.950 --> 00:32:58.469 JACK THOMAS: I know you're a little younger. I know you're young, but do you see your future in this business?

00:32:59.250 --> 00:33:00.750 The Crunchy Sisters: Teacher. Yeah.

00:33:01.720 --> 00:33:06.200 The Crunchy Sisters: well, I really want people to try the huma, because

00:33:06.330 --> 00:33:11.679 The Crunchy Sisters: most people, when they think about see much they're like they think it's something scary

00:33:12.880 --> 00:33:13.600 The Crunchy Sisters: or yeah.

00:33:13.600 --> 00:33:14.950 JACK THOMAS: I agree. So I

00:33:15.320 --> 00:33:26.979 JACK THOMAS: so I I've so Gunner lives down down the shore in New Jersey and right near the water. And so when I think of sea moss, I think of all the green moss that's out in the ocean at different times.

00:33:27.840 --> 00:33:42.150 JACK THOMAS: But your Cmos was bright yellow, and how come you chose? Yellow, that 1st of all, everything at the happy spot we go with yellow. So I I think, Cmos, I think green, but yours was like vibrant yellow. It what was? What's the secret behind that.

00:33:42.590 --> 00:33:46.059 The Crunchy Sisters: Well, they actually 2 colors, if he must.

00:33:46.430 --> 00:33:51.069 The Crunchy Sisters: There's golden summers and piper swimmers, and the.

00:33:51.070 --> 00:33:52.230 JACK THOMAS: Oh!

00:33:52.720 --> 00:34:02.108 The Crunchy Sisters: And golden age, Mingo pineapple, and the blueberry one is the pipeline. So we kind of match the flavors with the colors of the cmos.

00:34:03.900 --> 00:34:06.479 JACK THOMAS: That is great. Thank you. That's awesome.

00:34:10.670 --> 00:34:17.490 JACK THOMAS: gunner in in, in your world of music. What's that next song? We? What is that next song that we were talking about. We're thinking of Dylan.

00:34:18.580 --> 00:34:25.549 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah. So the next song that I picked is a song called Everything trying

00:34:25.989 --> 00:34:29.579 Gunnar Hopson: by an artist named Damian Drotto. He's like a folk

00:34:29.630 --> 00:34:31.879 Gunnar Hopson: vaguely country kind of guy.

00:34:33.250 --> 00:34:41.700 Gunnar Hopson: when you said like, pick something more modern, like 90% of the music that I listen to is old, anyway. So like something from the nineties was like, the

00:34:42.340 --> 00:34:49.949 Gunnar Hopson: only song I can really think of that was like, Okay, what's something that I play so much that I couldn't possibly mess it up on the radio.

00:34:50.100 --> 00:35:00.360 Gunnar Hopson: And this is one of the things. I think I think it fits the aesthetic pretty well. The last song, you know. Kind of keeps the chill kind of vibes going. But yeah.

00:35:02.420 --> 00:35:03.370 Gunnar Hopson: so

00:35:03.650 --> 00:35:04.940 Gunnar Hopson: you ready to go into it.

00:35:05.923 --> 00:35:06.630 JACK THOMAS: Yeah, please.

00:35:07.240 --> 00:35:10.200 Gunnar Hopson: Alright. So this is everything trying

00:35:11.520 --> 00:35:13.990 Gunnar Hopson: a new

00:35:16.450 --> 00:35:17.610 Gunnar Hopson: oh.

00:35:18.050 --> 00:35:18.830 Gunnar Hopson: O

00:35:22.880 --> 00:35:24.500 Gunnar Hopson: a.

00:35:29.840 --> 00:35:31.780 Gunnar Hopson: I'll draw you up.

00:35:32.120 --> 00:35:35.449 Gunnar Hopson: sell you! I'm thinking of you.

00:35:38.680 --> 00:35:41.409 Gunnar Hopson: but it does mean little girl

00:35:41.500 --> 00:35:45.660 Gunnar Hopson: whose bones just like, in my view.

00:35:48.750 --> 00:35:50.530 Gunnar Hopson: a room

00:35:51.110 --> 00:35:55.130 Gunnar Hopson: and settle down to

00:35:58.890 --> 00:36:00.580 Gunnar Hopson: now we're

00:36:00.750 --> 00:36:03.450 Gunnar Hopson: sell by

00:36:03.470 --> 00:36:06.720 Gunnar Hopson: to you.

00:36:25.460 --> 00:36:33.230 Gunnar Hopson: Oh, come back and tell you it wasn't your fault.

00:36:36.760 --> 00:36:39.129 Gunnar Hopson: I'm tired and unwilling.

00:36:39.670 --> 00:36:41.529 Gunnar Hopson: Stay on the

00:36:41.690 --> 00:36:43.140 Gunnar Hopson: was wrong.

00:36:47.010 --> 00:36:48.260 Gunnar Hopson: Zomboo

00:36:49.100 --> 00:36:50.450 Gunnar Hopson: sell

00:36:51.620 --> 00:36:52.870 Gunnar Hopson: smooth

00:36:54.220 --> 00:36:54.920 Gunnar Hopson: to

00:36:58.330 --> 00:37:00.000 Gunnar Hopson: Sam

00:37:01.250 --> 00:37:02.500 Gunnar Hopson: soon.

00:37:06.970 --> 00:37:09.720 Gunnar Hopson: Awesome.

00:37:25.540 --> 00:37:29.439 Gunnar Hopson: I'll keep setting them.

00:37:29.490 --> 00:37:34.619 Gunnar Hopson: Don't think through our hands.

00:37:35.070 --> 00:37:38.720 Gunnar Hopson: I'll keep sailing on

00:37:38.730 --> 00:37:43.379 Gunnar Hopson: your deep blue eyes.

00:37:45.110 --> 00:37:50.609 Gunnar Hopson: I'll keep sailing on your deep blue

00:37:51.130 --> 00:37:53.650 Gunnar Hopson: eyes.

00:37:54.820 --> 00:37:57.470 Gunnar Hopson: Keep sailing on

00:37:57.520 --> 00:37:59.970 Gunnar Hopson: your deep blue.

00:38:00.400 --> 00:38:05.370 Gunnar Hopson: I use.

00:38:09.290 --> 00:38:10.460 JACK THOMAS: Done. No, thank you.

00:38:10.470 --> 00:38:11.730 JACK THOMAS: thank you. Thank you.

00:38:11.730 --> 00:38:12.150 Gunnar Hopson: No problem.

00:38:12.150 --> 00:38:13.000 JACK THOMAS: It's awesome.

00:38:14.380 --> 00:38:14.710 Gunnar Hopson: Nice.

00:38:14.890 --> 00:38:19.369 JACK THOMAS: So it it's it's so great. i i i know, I know I know you.

00:40:44.930 --> 00:40:50.567 The Crunchy Sisters: My dad and my grandpa. It's an endless supply, so fun to use.

00:40:53.980 --> 00:40:56.410 Gunnar Hopson: Just getting them straight from the source.

00:40:56.480 --> 00:40:58.339 Gunnar Hopson: but I always know it.

00:40:59.236 --> 00:41:03.669 JACK THOMAS: So in your profits on the book. Do you have to share with them.

00:41:06.290 --> 00:41:11.040 The Crunchy Sisters: Sort of because my dad helped me a lot with the publishing process.

00:41:11.290 --> 00:41:12.999 The Crunchy Sisters: So I do share a little bit.

00:41:13.852 --> 00:41:23.977 The Crunchy Sisters: Well, you mean investment profit. We'll let them keep the profits of the 1st one. Anyways.

00:41:27.240 --> 00:41:32.169 JACK THOMAS: So I I'm just so impressed with what you ladies are doing.

00:41:32.460 --> 00:41:33.170 JACK THOMAS: What?

00:41:34.040 --> 00:41:41.760 JACK THOMAS: What, what? What? When you wake up in the morning like, what is? What is your 1st thought of the day? What are you thinking about? Like? What's what's pushing you to do all these great things.

00:41:42.750 --> 00:41:45.704 The Crunchy Sisters: Probably gratitude. That's good definitely gonna be a big one.

00:41:46.450 --> 00:41:47.189 The Crunchy Sisters: So great.

00:41:47.190 --> 00:41:47.980 JACK THOMAS: Wow!

00:41:47.980 --> 00:41:49.699 The Crunchy Sisters: Opportunities which were given.

00:41:51.970 --> 00:41:54.824 JACK THOMAS: That is, that is so, that is so nice, so

00:41:55.420 --> 00:42:03.329 JACK THOMAS: as I've gotten older in life, in in learning, gratitude, and empathy. Not that. Not that we didn't have it growing up, but your

00:42:03.640 --> 00:42:12.833 JACK THOMAS: my generation, gunners, generation, there's been a generational shift of gratitude, kindness in business.

00:42:14.800 --> 00:42:22.650 JACK THOMAS: Have you ever bumped into people that you were doing business with, that you were not happy with, and stopped doing business? Or is everybody your meeting? You're really enjoying.

00:42:23.850 --> 00:42:32.440 The Crunchy Sisters: We have had some unfriendly customers. Well, they weren't customers. Passer buys right to get customers. Really.

00:42:32.680 --> 00:42:35.369 The Crunchy Sisters: Nope, not a customer, but

00:42:35.600 --> 00:42:36.780 The Crunchy Sisters: that's about it.

00:42:37.820 --> 00:42:38.740 The Crunchy Sisters: You handle.

00:42:38.740 --> 00:42:39.729 JACK THOMAS: That that that

00:42:40.310 --> 00:42:56.489 JACK THOMAS: that is awesome. So we we are. We are going to be moving to break right now. And we will come right back in in just one moment. We're at the happy spot. We have the French sisters. We have gunner option, and we are happy. My name is Jack Thomas. Be right back.

00:44:58.920 --> 00:45:01.810 JACK THOMAS: Welcome back. We're at the happy spot.

00:45:01.870 --> 00:45:10.029 JACK THOMAS: and we're talking to the Crunch sisters and Gunner Hopson, and we're talking about the 5 senses at the happy spot, and and why we're doing that

00:45:10.790 --> 00:45:19.750 JACK THOMAS: is in the business. Our our job of what we do is to bring wellness in using tax credits and different risk management tools that

00:45:20.280 --> 00:45:25.170 JACK THOMAS: the businesses don't even know exist. And so we look to offer them

00:45:25.250 --> 00:45:33.549 JACK THOMAS: with wellness. And so maybe we'll have the sisters come in and bring some food into some of our clients. We'll do some tastings.

00:45:34.770 --> 00:45:37.129 JACK THOMAS: So we got into the book a little bit. So

00:45:37.530 --> 00:45:56.669 JACK THOMAS: you're you're 12, you're 9. You have a website, you have food. You're happy, you you you you're really the gift. You're the gift to our society. And so I'm just grateful that we we have you here, and hopefully, some of our other people be able to pick up and get some of your food going into their lives and their wellness.

00:45:58.290 --> 00:46:05.120 JACK THOMAS: So let's now talk about the let's talk about the other foods. So my personal addiction to a bad food is pizza.

00:46:06.560 --> 00:46:18.990 JACK THOMAS: I have to confess, no matter what I could have pizza, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I know I'm not supposed to. I'm just curious what some of what's 1 of your favorite foods outside of your products?

00:46:20.730 --> 00:46:22.310 The Crunchy Sisters: I like sushi

00:46:22.600 --> 00:46:24.520 The Crunchy Sisters: definitely one which I really like.

00:46:24.790 --> 00:46:32.730 The Crunchy Sisters: That's a tasty one. How about you? Tell sushi, too. Yeah. Also, like curry. I don't think it's curry, and it's really yummy.

00:46:34.200 --> 00:46:35.150 JACK THOMAS: It's awesome.

00:46:35.810 --> 00:46:38.150 JACK THOMAS: Gunner. What about you, you a pizza guy.

00:46:39.720 --> 00:46:47.720 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah, I do love pizza. I gotta say like, lately I have been on more of a journey of trying to eat healthier period.

00:46:48.000 --> 00:46:50.300 Gunnar Hopson: But it's tough, you know. Like, yeah.

00:46:50.960 --> 00:46:56.485 Gunnar Hopson: I got how to say, the 1st thing that comes to mind is just trying to knock that Ben and Jerry's out of your diet, you know.

00:46:56.790 --> 00:47:02.379 Gunnar Hopson: because I just saw literally just saw a joke on the Internet the other day where somebody

00:47:02.590 --> 00:47:04.510 Gunnar Hopson: responded like

00:47:04.690 --> 00:47:09.840 Gunnar Hopson: they're saying, Oh, Jimmy Fallon got renewed for another 4 years on the tonight show. And then someone's comment was just

00:47:09.900 --> 00:47:14.739 Gunnar Hopson: good, because if they take tonight dough off the shelves, I'm gonna lose it. That's

00:47:15.130 --> 00:47:16.710 Gunnar Hopson: very relatable. It's a

00:47:17.310 --> 00:47:23.229 Gunnar Hopson: better. The ice cream is better than the show. That is a hard one to get out on the diet.

00:47:24.710 --> 00:47:25.380 Gunnar Hopson: It's it's.

00:47:25.690 --> 00:47:26.000 JACK THOMAS: Ladies!

00:47:26.000 --> 00:47:26.889 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah, it.

00:47:26.890 --> 00:47:31.679 JACK THOMAS: If you. If if if you know, somebody loves ice cream and they're looking to go healthy.

00:47:31.770 --> 00:47:35.759 JACK THOMAS: what? What is something? What is a food or something you would suggest as a replacement.

00:47:37.662 --> 00:47:42.390 The Crunchy Sisters: For us. What we like to do is we make smoothies, and we add our Cmos to it.

00:47:42.450 --> 00:47:46.339 The Crunchy Sisters: and then we freeze them as popsicles, so it's kind of like ice cream.

00:47:46.440 --> 00:47:50.300 The Crunchy Sisters: but it's a healthier and yummier ice cream with more nutrients.

00:47:52.173 --> 00:47:52.880 JACK THOMAS: Love that

00:47:53.890 --> 00:47:54.820 JACK THOMAS: loved, that.

00:47:55.110 --> 00:47:55.690 Gunnar Hopson: I think

00:47:55.830 --> 00:47:57.655 Gunnar Hopson: I think that a thing that

00:47:58.250 --> 00:48:02.790 Gunnar Hopson: really helps people eat healthier is like trying to find

00:48:02.950 --> 00:48:10.010 Gunnar Hopson: something that's like similar to what they already like, but just creating a healthy version of that. So that is like a really

00:48:10.060 --> 00:48:12.150 Gunnar Hopson: intuitive idea, because, like.

00:48:12.480 --> 00:48:13.770 Gunnar Hopson: Oh, how do I

00:48:13.980 --> 00:48:22.369 Gunnar Hopson: eat? Something that gives me that ice cream feeling. But isn't ice cream, or is healthier than ice cream, and you got to get creative sometimes with that.

00:48:24.880 --> 00:48:34.540 JACK THOMAS: And I am curious about the Cmos, because I found when I did take just I took I ate a teaspoon a day of seamos. I didn't even put it in anything. I just scooped it, boom!

00:48:35.010 --> 00:48:43.610 JACK THOMAS: But I felt more full on my when I would have my breakfast and lunch like it was filling, and it didn't look like a filling

00:48:43.830 --> 00:48:45.569 JACK THOMAS: food. So

00:48:46.390 --> 00:48:50.790 JACK THOMAS: what's behind that? What what should we know about? Why did it do that?

00:48:51.430 --> 00:48:53.409 The Crunchy Sisters: It's very nutrient dense.

00:48:53.940 --> 00:49:01.349 The Crunchy Sisters: So while you might have big breakfast, that big breakfast might not have all those essential nutrients which our Cmos has

00:49:02.910 --> 00:49:04.720 The Crunchy Sisters: good. So if you have a big.

00:49:04.720 --> 00:49:06.289 JACK THOMAS: But in my I put it in my screen.

00:49:08.290 --> 00:49:08.800 The Crunchy Sisters: I'm sorry.

00:49:08.800 --> 00:49:10.070 JACK THOMAS: So I interrupted you.

00:49:10.590 --> 00:49:17.209 The Crunchy Sisters: You're all good. That big breakfast could make you still feel empty, because there's not a lot of nutrients or health benefits to it.

00:49:19.750 --> 00:49:28.750 JACK THOMAS: And so what are some of the other foods that you you eat with these different elixirs and and benefits? So what would what would a normal launch look like for you ladies?

00:49:30.090 --> 00:49:32.899 The Crunchy Sisters: So for lunch we usually eat like

00:49:33.000 --> 00:49:44.209 The Crunchy Sisters: soup, or if we have any like leftovers from dinner, because we don't like throwing stuff out. So we finish up actually, really tasty. I like it. Then we drink our kombucha throughout the day.

00:49:44.380 --> 00:49:49.740 The Crunchy Sisters: This makes like a tasty treat, like, instead of having store bought apple juice, or orange juice.

00:49:49.810 --> 00:49:51.500 The Crunchy Sisters: We have yummy kombucha.

00:49:53.940 --> 00:49:54.980 JACK THOMAS: That's awesome.

00:49:55.810 --> 00:49:59.189 JACK THOMAS: And so, gunner, have you ever had Kombucha.

00:50:00.300 --> 00:50:02.859 Gunnar Hopson: I have. Yeah, I've tried it a couple of times.

00:50:03.650 --> 00:50:06.790 Gunnar Hopson: It definitely is like, good. For, like like your gut health

00:50:10.409 --> 00:50:16.780 Gunnar Hopson: it's not something that I drink every day, but it is one of those things that when I am on like a health kick I'll I'll bring it up.

00:50:18.050 --> 00:50:25.349 JACK THOMAS: Yeah, i i i had. I I had. I had one last night when I was going through the store, and again I couldn't believe how many sugars are in these?

00:50:25.370 --> 00:50:30.305 JACK THOMAS: Right? Like, I always struggle. They're like, it's a healthy drink, and it's like, why's all the sugar

00:50:31.928 --> 00:50:32.799 JACK THOMAS: and what's your show?

00:50:32.800 --> 00:50:33.950 Gunnar Hopson: Sometimes struggling.

00:50:34.570 --> 00:50:35.400 Gunnar Hopson: Yeah.

00:50:36.370 --> 00:50:40.487 Gunnar Hopson: cause I would imagine that would probably help if ferment is happening, a high sugar content. But

00:50:40.770 --> 00:50:43.370 Gunnar Hopson: I'm sure they know more about it than I do.

00:50:46.140 --> 00:50:48.359 JACK THOMAS: Does the sugar content? Help it? Ferment.

00:50:49.400 --> 00:50:51.220 The Crunchy Sisters: Yes, it does help it for rent, but

00:50:51.320 --> 00:50:56.170 The Crunchy Sisters: we, after the fermentation process, we don't add any extra sugar afterwards.

00:50:56.690 --> 00:50:57.710 The Crunchy Sisters: Make it sweeter.

00:50:58.600 --> 00:50:59.330 Gunnar Hopson: Right.

00:51:00.890 --> 00:51:05.849 JACK THOMAS: And and so how do you ferment it? Cause it sounds like you need like a big machine or a big factory.

00:51:06.010 --> 00:51:09.430 JACK THOMAS: So how does? How does fermenting work with Cambuchia.

00:51:09.920 --> 00:51:14.300 The Crunchy Sisters: Alright. So you're gonna need a huge glass jar for a different end.

00:51:14.540 --> 00:51:19.369 The Crunchy Sisters: because you need the scoi table to fit in their comfortably without getting squished.

00:51:19.380 --> 00:51:27.330 The Crunchy Sisters: Then you need lots of space for the kombucha to ferment and breathe and breathe. You also can't be if we covered with cheesecloth

00:51:27.570 --> 00:51:31.210 The Crunchy Sisters: so it can breathe, because Scobey is a leaving creature.

00:51:31.390 --> 00:51:37.441 The Crunchy Sisters: Sort of kind of it's like Sourdough, like Sourdough. It's like a drinkable sourdough kind of

00:51:39.350 --> 00:51:48.250 The Crunchy Sisters: well, the kombucha you keep just to go back to sugar. Our Kombucha crunchy sisters. Kombucha is only 2 grams of sugar per serving.

00:51:48.970 --> 00:51:49.470 JACK THOMAS: That's amazing.

00:51:49.470 --> 00:51:50.570 The Crunchy Sisters: So that's

00:51:50.660 --> 00:52:06.786 The Crunchy Sisters: barely anything. If you taste it, you try it, and all you need is 4 ounces. Of that kombucha to get your full pre and probiotics. Line up like. It's a full spectrum pre and probiotics, full panel and

00:52:07.500 --> 00:52:11.789 The Crunchy Sisters: 2 grams of sugar. I mean, it's definitely healthy, delicious drink.

00:52:13.280 --> 00:52:14.450 JACK THOMAS: And and so

00:52:14.750 --> 00:52:20.420 JACK THOMAS: a a couple of people I know in business that own, and they're in the supermarket business.

00:52:20.490 --> 00:52:22.020 JACK THOMAS: If I was to

00:52:22.170 --> 00:52:32.930 JACK THOMAS: I already. I already called him and said, I'm having these gals on tonight. I think they're phenomenal. If he was to call up and say he wants to get your cambucha into a supermarkets.

00:52:32.950 --> 00:52:35.859 JACK THOMAS: Are you ready for those big orders? If they come in.

00:52:36.800 --> 00:52:45.350 The Crunchy Sisters: I think so. Yes, definitely. I think they've got it down at this point. That's actually one of the questions Samantha wrote down to ask.

00:52:45.410 --> 00:52:47.979 The Crunchy Sisters: Gunner, do you want to ask your question?

00:52:48.080 --> 00:52:51.240 The Crunchy Sisters: What does it take to get into the supermarkets

00:52:51.880 --> 00:52:57.679 The Crunchy Sisters: like? How hard is it to do? Are there any processes that go on, any things that work.

00:52:58.149 --> 00:52:58.620 Gunnar Hopson: So.

00:52:58.620 --> 00:52:59.590 The Crunchy Sisters: Products.

00:53:00.120 --> 00:53:09.020 Gunnar Hopson: So personally. When I was working at a Sickles market that was like a family owned business. So it was definitely easier

00:53:09.250 --> 00:53:16.029 Gunnar Hopson: with them to like get like other family-owned businesses, or like smaller businesses like yours in.

00:53:16.780 --> 00:53:18.890 Gunnar Hopson: you know, I would say

00:53:19.340 --> 00:53:24.083 Gunnar Hopson: a lot of like the small batch stuff we were able to get in pretty easily.

00:53:24.490 --> 00:53:25.949 Gunnar Hopson: lot of local stuff.

00:53:26.040 --> 00:53:31.149 Gunnar Hopson: I would definitely again again. I was mostly on the

00:53:31.170 --> 00:53:40.819 Gunnar Hopson: copywriting end of it, and the customer service end of it, so I might not be the best person to ask, but I would say the smartest thing to do would be to try starting with more

00:53:41.060 --> 00:53:51.970 Gunnar Hopson: like more smaller local grocery stores and then work your way up to the bigger companies, because definitely like, in terms of workload, that's like the best way to kind of test it out, to see how much

00:53:52.230 --> 00:53:53.740 Gunnar Hopson: of an actual like

00:53:54.990 --> 00:53:57.429 Gunnar Hopson: you know how much you could feasibly do.

00:53:57.890 --> 00:54:01.119 Gunnar Hopson: especially because I'm sure that you're juggling it with other things. But

00:54:01.760 --> 00:54:13.850 Gunnar Hopson: yeah, I would say, start out small, you know, like you said, you already have have tried to like stands, and, like the farmers, market kind of style approach, I would try. I would try, maybe approaching

00:54:14.010 --> 00:54:23.520 Gunnar Hopson: some, maybe smaller scale grocery stores, and then, once you kind of get like an understanding of how to handle that, then you could probably work out.

00:54:24.020 --> 00:54:25.979 The Crunchy Sisters: Alright. Thank you. Hmm.

00:54:26.640 --> 00:54:28.950 JACK THOMAS: That is awesome, that is awesome.

00:54:29.150 --> 00:54:31.309 JACK THOMAS: So, as Gunner was talking.

00:54:31.900 --> 00:54:39.100 JACK THOMAS: it gave me a chance to think like in Ridgewood, which is not too far from where you are. You have a lot of little independent stores.

00:54:39.847 --> 00:54:59.900 JACK THOMAS: And what I used to love doing with my dad was we would go into different stores and practice trying to talk to people and selling. You already have your selling skill set down, but you may want to go into those little stores and hear them in the greatest lessons that I would learn from my dad was overcoming objections.

00:55:01.100 --> 00:55:11.270 JACK THOMAS: And so, if you don't know what the objections are. When you get in front of those bigger players you don't know what to respond. But when you go out and practice, and it's local, and it's easy. And it's fun.

00:55:12.360 --> 00:55:21.179 JACK THOMAS: yeah, just throwing an idea out there to you, gunner, so grateful that you showed and joined with us today and giving us some of that insight and wisdom.

00:55:21.680 --> 00:55:40.979 JACK THOMAS: And and ladies, I wanna just thank you so much for joining. We're gonna be coming to an end in a in a moment. So before we end, I just really wanna give the floor to you 2 young ladies. And and the last moment, what would you like to say to our everyday people that are looking for their wellness, what's something you'd like to share.

00:55:42.110 --> 00:55:43.240 The Crunchy Sisters: Office, Ralph.

00:55:43.800 --> 00:55:48.419 The Crunchy Sisters: and you have to be careful about everything what's in and on your body.

00:55:48.640 --> 00:55:51.549 The Crunchy Sisters: and to read the labels. Read the ingredients.

00:55:51.780 --> 00:55:53.539 The Crunchy Sisters: and try and live. Your best

00:55:53.780 --> 00:55:55.790 The Crunchy Sisters: health is wealth, life?

00:55:56.720 --> 00:55:57.410 The Crunchy Sisters: Well, at.

00:55:57.410 --> 00:56:02.039 JACK THOMAS: At the happy spot. You are an inspiration to all of us. This is Jack Thomas.

00:56:02.300 --> 00:56:05.870 JACK THOMAS: We're coming to an end for today. They're going to round us out.

00:56:16.470 --> 00:56:18.139 The Crunchy Sisters: Thank you for having us.

00:56:19.490 --> 00:56:20.280 JACK THOMAS: And honor.

00:56:20.560 --> 00:56:21.900 Gunnar Hopson: Like for me as well.

00:56:22.770 --> 00:56:24.490 JACK THOMAS: Same. Here, gunner, thank you.

00:56:24.490 --> 00:56:26.190 The Crunchy Sisters: Thank you for inviting us.
