Sam greets the audience with the quotes of the day from The Universe and Abraham.
The Universe brings notions of engaging in life’s magic and tapping into the force of creation. This comes from many places, but especially from putting out ones energy, dreams, and visions we have of ourselves. From inception to manifestation the universe gives us time to shape and focus our goals and visions. As the picture of what we wish to achieve becomes clearer and more detailed the more perfect our dream manifestation will be. The time we have from inception to manifestation is directly linked to our different reservations and resistances we hold to our goals.
Abraham brings us ideas of being the source of happiness at all times. Rather than sympathizing and matching the mood of someone unhappy in order to comfort them is not the best course of action. Rather, one should strive to let happiness flow from themselves and disseminate to others. This is applied to the self too. One should not ask another to cheer them up, as it, in turn, drags the other down.
Preconceived notions of events carrying a good or bad quality is counterproductive as life is just perfect in the course it takes. We can choose to be content and happy with life around us rather than allow ourselves to focus on the negative sides of life.
Returning from break Sam introduces today’s guest, shamanistic leader and soul guide, Kerri Hummingbird. Kerri’s technical side is mentioned as the story of her spiritual journey is brought up. Kerri worked in the tech industry, but was interested in her spirituality for a large portion of her life. About eight years ago Kerri abandoned much of her conventional life in pursuit of her path as a spiritual leader. Kerri explains how she was able to manifest what she needs to support her spiritual journey. She notes one experience of encountering a hummingbird in a vision and immediately after obtaining a house she was trying to procure.
Kerri goes on to explain the long and arduous journey of building up her craft and trade over the last eight years. She goes on to explain how her happiness used to be derived from external sources and outside validation. Through her journey Kerri has come to a deeper appreciation of internal satisfaction and happiness from the self.
Kerri talks about the inspiration for her first book, Awakening to Me: One Woman’s Journey To Self Love. She wrote this book to reflect on a major change in her life and act as a powerful story to help someone going through some sort of change as well. Her second book, We to Me: Emerging Self After Divorce, acted as a way for her to help understand the ending of her twenty year relationship. This acted as a tool for her to find herself, heal, and also help others.
Her entire self identity was wrapped up in that relationship and she needed to reinvent herself after it ended. The essence of her work is to help others do the same thing and answer questions like “Who am I?” and “What is happiness?”. Sam talks about feeling crazy when asking himself these kinds of questions because he finds most others don’t do the same. Kerri and Sam both agree that you shouldn’t feel crazy because your life is your own intricate journey and it’s impossible for anyone else to completely understand. Kerri then discusses some tips she has for the audience. Most importantly you should invite the world and nature into your life and let it support you.
Kerri talks about how consciousness can be affected by living in a big city compared to a more rural area. Living in a crowded city makes it hard to break away from the collective consciousness and invites chaos into your life. In order to deal with this, it’s important to create a space that breaks the connections and signals connected to other individuals. Sam relates this to his Shamonic work and how this helps him become more conscious of other people’s energy and separates himself from that. Kerri then talks about how recreational substances like tobacco and marijuana can be abused by users because they aren’t being treated sacredly. These things often act as a tool for a quick high instead of a healing component. The intent with most people is to use these substances as a relief or escape from their stressful life. Kerri says that this is only a temporary solution and that people should use them as a way to handle their problems instead of escape from them. Kerri can be found through her website https://kerrihummingbird.com/ she has two books out, Awakening To Me: One Woman’s Journey To Self Love and We To Me: Emerging Self After Divorce, and one more coming out next month – The Second Wave!
