During this Nourish the Soul we will investigate how the “I should eat like this to look like that” and “I should work out like this to be like that” or the “I have to do this or I need to that” shapes the way we think, feel and talk to ourselves. It also deeply influences the way we SEE ourselves AND the way we THINK people see us…
… In turn, this pressure to look or be a certain way becomes a catalyst for harmful and unhealthy behaviors to erupt with food & exercise.

Do you want to be the best you? Elizabeth’s got you covered. She explores our self-image and the ideas, messages, and beliefs we create about ourselves through our relationships with food and exercise. Plus, more tips on how you can maintain a healthy lifestyle surrounding food.
She begins the show talking about her elation for the warm weather that has arrived. She then goes right into discussing self image. She gives her own perspective in the effectiveness of workout classes and how they affected her self esteem. She then goes into why she swore off workout classes two years ago.
Elizabeth on the effectiveness of workout classes: “It made me feel as if I as a whole was not good enough.”
She goes deeper into the negative conversations that went on in gyms that made her stop going to workout courses there. She paints the negative mentality people had when it comes to attempting to follow a workout class and how it impacts their self-esteem. Elizabeth then attempts to help find solutions to improving people’s self-image.
Elizabeth gets into how improving our self-image does not completely revolve around improving routines in working out and eating. She then shares stories from working with her clients on how they improved their self-image. Elizabeth touches on a particular story of how she used the bad habits of one of her clients to get to the deep roots of their problems.
Elizabeth wraps the show up defining what a soul is. She also defines what a fit body is to her and how people should think of the concept.
