Noreen begins by talking about her week. She and Eli Marcus then talk about networking. First, they discuss Eli’s experience growing up in Queens, NY.
From a young age, he knew that he wanted something more for himself and taught himself just about everything he knows. He started out selling to combat his shyness, he outworked everyone because he claims he wanted it more. He worked longer hours and forced himself to do something he wasn’t comfortable doing. By doing this, he became one of the top salespeople in his company at the age of 20.
Next, Noreen and Eli begin to talk about networking while shy. Noreen has never been shy but Eli has combated his shyness through his own efforts. He also talks about his podcast called the Motivation Show, where he invites guests and proceeds to uplift his listeners.
Noreen and Eli talk some more about connecting with people. Noreen talks about loving the fact that more and more people wish her happy birthday every year because it means that she is truly connecting with more people.
Noreen and Eli, continuing on the topic of connecting with people, speak about giving and receiving. They talk about the different ways you can make your world better just by yourself becoming better. They state that people really do become better if you become better. The more positivity you put into this world, the more you receive back.
Eli talks about the power of motivating self and how he’s harnessed that power to reach his current position in life. But the quality of the lives of other people, rich or poor depend on their relationships with the people around them.
Eli talks some more about his experience growing up and how he taught himself to overcome the circumstances he was placed in. Noreen talks some more about getting people to open themselves up to creating relationships with other people. They talk about pushing yourself to do the difficult thing even when it’s the last possible thing you want to do.
Noreen then takes a caller and they speak with her some about getting herself in the right head-space to create more meaningful relationships in her day to day life.
