Mitch Horowitzis a writer-in-residence at the New York Public Library, a lecturer-in-residence at the University of Philosophical Research in Los Angeles, and the PEN Award-winning author of books including Occult America; One Simple Idea: How Positive Thinking Reshaped Modern Life; Mind as Builder; and his newest book, The Miracle Club: How Thoughts Become Reality.

Sam opens the show with the quotes of the day from Abraham Hicks and the Universe, where it touches on how important the power of thought is, and why changing your story is beneficial in your thought process. In the guest chair today is Mitch Horowitz, award winning author of the new book “The Miracle Club”. Mitch discusses how he began to write books and talks about his favorite hero Neville Goddard.
Mitch talks about how he came up with the title for his new book “The Miracle Club” and how he touches on the importance of the mind in the book. Mitch discusses how people need to keep digging and keep searching. The importance of being careful and not to classify anyone as being to inwardly or outwardly focused. Mitch touches on being careful with labeling. For the book, Mitch researched the spontaneous remission of Cancer and looking for primary sources to understand what works.
Mitch shares basic techniques such as using a few moments before you sleep at night to recite mantras, reprogram your psyche and use visualization. Another technique is to find your aim, that one thing you’re passionate about, it’s something that usually makes you feel uncomfortable. Mitch says its important to be honest with yourself and forget about other perceptions.
In closing the show, Mitch talks about the many tattoos he has and what they each represent. Mitch discusses working on his next book and where his values come from. Mitch also mentions that it concerns him that in this age there is a lack in great teachers.
