On this week’s episode, the ladies talk about owning our success, and welcome multiple guests including, John Demato, Judy Goss, Regina Huber, and Ivy Slater.
Joan, Priya, and Katie open the show talking about the craziness of life and work. Next they talk about today’s topics, women in business, success, and change. They announce and thank their sponsor of the month, photographer John Demato Productions. Joan continues to outline John’s photography work and how he aims to connect people with his work. John briefly comes on the mic to thank the ladies for the kind words. Joan then proceeds to talk about the station’s promotional partner for the month, Judy Goss and preview her interview the last segment of the show. Before the break, they also preview our next guest, Regina Huber, who will open the next segment with her interview.
Joan and Priya open the segment talking about their goal with connecting thought leaders globally. Next they welcome Regina Huber to the show and detail her achievements, specifically her recent time in Africa where she helped woman with job interviews and opportunities. Regina talks about her main three points that she’ll talk about at her conferences: self-empowering mindset, finding your distinctive uniqueness, and a body-conscious presence. Next they dive into owning your success, this week’s topic, and the fears that come from failure and even success. Regina talks about the struggles she endured while recovering from a near fatal case of malaria and how she used that recovery time to work on herself. Next Regina details her contact information as her interview time comes to an end.
Katie opens the segment with Three for Three, who gives a shout out to all the women in business and advises them all to own their success. She warns against being to full of oneself, but to also to be confident in themselves and to be thankful for those who helped you on the way up. Next they sing happy birthday to Joan and celebrate her birthday on air with a cupcake and a candle. Next they preview the next guest, Ivy Slater. Joan talks about how she met Ivy and how she helped start Joan’s business. Ivy calls in and talks about how she works with people (mostly women) as a consultant to start and maintain their own business.
As the final segment starts, Ivy talks about the details on her latest book. From there Judy Goss comes on as they all talk about the lack of coincidences in life and how everyone is working together. Regine comes back on briefly for the conversation as well. Ivy continues to talk about her friends in the industry and how they’ve become friendly competition for her and how there is room for everyone at the table. Judy then talks about her conference and the discount there is for all of the station listeners.
